Dropping a pin on polling stations to get riders to vote.
PROBLEM
More than 1 million Canadians do not vote because it’s too difficult or due to transportation problems.
INSIGHT
Nowadays, young people use ride sharing services like Lyft to make getting from A to B more convenient. How can we make voting more convenient?
SOLUTION
On election day, Lyft will automatically drop a pin on polling stations along or near your route. If you update your destination to one of the stations your ride will be free.
Lyft will offer a free ride if you re-route your trip to stop at a polling station along the way.
Poll Riding Lyft’s will switch their signs to “Vote.”
